Big Sean, Rick Ross Set For Iceland’s Secret Solstice Festival

They say good things come to those who wait; just ask the Icelandic hip-hop faithful.

The European nation will boast a hip-hop heavy lineup at this summer’s Secret Solstice festival which will run from June16-18, marking one of the biggest rap celebrations in national history with nearly 100 combined artists.

Recently added artists include, Big Sean, Rick Ross, and Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals, along with previously included acts such as Young M.A, Odd Future’s Left Brain, DJ Baby Mama Drama and Chaka Khan.

The festivals significance lies in the fact that June 16-18 will see 72 hours of straight daylight in the mostly northern capital of Reykjavik, offering Icelanders a brief stint of sunshine happiness.

Rap and rock coincide with harmony in Iceland, with an adjacent concert lineup that features the likes of Foo Fighters, Dubfire, The Black Madonna, and The Prodigy.
