About Marky Marc

Marky Marc was born and raised in the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., home of mumbo sauce and GoGo music. He grew up listening to EZ Street & Donnie Simpson on the city's hip hop station 93.9 WKYS, which made Marky Marc’s passion for radio grow tremendously. In 2010, he began his journey into becoming a radio personality by attending North Carolina A&T State University, where he studied Journalism and Mass Communications. Throughout his college career at NC A&T, he produced and hosted his own radio show on the campus radio station WNAA 90.1, as well as co-hosted an on-campus television show, interviewing many celebrities such as A$AP Rocky, Kid Ink, and Terrance J. He also had the opportunity to become a brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. In 2013, he began interning with 102 Jamz under Tap Money. Under Tap Money’s guidance, he submitted numerous air-checks every week until he finally reached one of his goals and the opportunity of a lifetime. In 2014, he began working for 102 Jamz as a part time radio personality and participated in all of the stations events such as street hits, car shows, school pep rallies, etc... He also had the pleasure of interviewing celebrities such as Young Jeezy, and Young MA during his tenure at Jamz.Today, Marky Marc has the pleasure of being a full time on air radio personality for The Big Stick, Foxy 99 in Fayetteville, North Carolina! He can be heard on your favorite hip hop station Monday through Friday, 7-11pm on his show THE PREGAME! #WhoUwit!!!
