Now as Van Dyke who’s facing six counts of first-degree murder and one count of official misconduct awaits trial, three of his fellow officers are also facing indictments.
According to NBC News, Detective David March and Officers Joseph Walsh and Thomas Gaffney are charged with conspiracy to obstruct justice and official misconduct.
March and Walsh have resigned from the force while Gaffney will be suspended without pay.
Prosecutors believe that the three completely lied about the events that happened that Oct. 20, 2014 night and alleged that McDonald assaulted all three of them, swung a knife at them and, while Van Dyke was shooting him, tried to get off the ground with the knife still in his hand.
A video that was released last year proves that NONE of that was true.
