Gabrielle Union opened up to People Magazine about her struggles with infertility in an exclusive look at her new memoir: “We’re Going to Need More Wine," a collection of stories and essays from her life in Hollywood. It's set to be released Oct. 17. In the excerpt, she also reveals she’s had many miscarriages in her quest to have children.
“I have had eight or nine miscarriages. For three years, my body has been a prisoner of trying to get pregnant — I’ve either been about to go into an IVF cycle, in the middle of an IVF cycle, or coming out of an IVF cycle.”
Gabrielle Union has been married to her husband, NBA point guard Dwyane Wade, since 2014. Wade has three children from his previous marriage and Union says that despite frequent inquiries from strangers, she’d never wanted kids until she met them.
