LeBron James Is Teaming Up With HBO
LeBron James is showing he’s more than just the best basketball player on the planet.
According to Complex, the superstar athlete will executive produce an HBO documentary titled, Student Athlete.
The film will touch on what it is to be an amateur athlete in America and how it affects the lives of them and their families.
The CEO of SpringHill Entertainment, Maverick Carter, who is also Bron’s business partner said, “This is an incredibly important story about the institutional denial of basic human rights for these student-athletes. When Steve Stoute brought us this idea, it was a perfect fit for the kind of stories we want to tell at SpringHill.”
The focus of the film will be on college football and basketball being that the two have experienced the most problems as of late when it comes to compensation and illegal compensation of athletes.
Student Athlete is supposed to launch come October 2nd on HBO.
