According to WTKR, witnesses told News 3’s Rachel Cardin two men were arguing inside a barbershop over whether or not Halle Berry should play Aretha in a movie but the conversation escalated and the men ended up getting into a physical altercation, which led to one of the suspects, 44 year old, Michael Jermell Hatton, pulling out a gun and shooting the other man.
The victim was taken to the local hospital for treatment.
Hatton was arrested and is currently being held at Western Tidewater Regional Jail without bond.
