Fort Bragg Soldier Arrested After Girl Kidnapped From North Carolina Home
A 12-year-old girl was taken from her home in Carolina Pines overnight on Saturday, and now police have arrested a suspect related to the case.
According to the Fayetteville Observer, the girl’s grandmother entered her room on Sunday morning, however, the girl was nowhere to be found.
Additionally, the woman found what appeared to be a ransom note on the child’s bed.
It is not clear what the demands stated on the ransom note, however, it is believe the suspect abducted the girl through her bedroom window.
This morning, both the suspect and the victim were located on base at Fort Bragg.
The girl is believed to be okay. As for the suspect, a soldier, he was arrested.
He reportedly told authorities he and the 12-year-old met on the internet.
At this time, his name has not been released.
