Coko Of SWV Poses With Jhene Aiko After Backlash For Saying Aiko’s Music Makes People Sleepy
Coko of SWV recently shared a photo of herself on Instagram with singer Jhene Aiko after she received backlash for saying that Aiko’s music makes people sleepy.

“Jhene’ Aiko is a sweetheart! She walked up to me and said all of my songs aren’t sleepy. We laughed & hugged it out,” Coko wrote. “She got what I was saying though. It’s all love, no hate. My son is a big fan of hers.”
Last week, SWV sat down with Buzz Feed‘s Cocoa Butter and gave their opinion on today’s R&B singers, and when it came to Jhene Aiko Coko said that the “Sativa” singer’s music makes people sleepy.

Coko’s commentary received some backlash on social media.
COKO FROM SWV IS A GREAT SINGER. Nobody is denying that. MY point is, being a great singer doesn’t give you the right to be nasty about other singers and their talent which might be different from yours. And YES saying a singer’s voice sounds like a computer is nasty. pic.twitter.com/n0En5KVduu

Coko did too much. Period. Especially for someone who couldn’t buy a hit once she went solo. But go off pic.twitter.com/H9kpagDE58
