Nipsey Hussle’s Sister Denied Guardianship Of Rapper’s Daughter
Nipsey Hussle’s sister was denied guardianship over the late rapper’s daughter.
The “Victory Lap” rapper’s sister, Samantha Smith, tried to obtain an emergency order granting her temporary guardianship over Nipsey Hussle’s daughter, Emani, but a judge denied the request, as The Blast reports.
The ruling stated, “No urgency demonstrated for granting this relief prior to hearing on May 14th.” The judge also said that Emani’s mother, Tanisha, must be given notice of the hearing.
Earlier this week, Smith filed a request for guardianship of her brother’s oldest child and said that she’s “always been a presence in Emani’s life and along with the rest of Emani’s paternal family has assisted in her care.”
Smith wanted to obtain custody of Emani to “ensure that she can continue to live with family members with whom she has always had close ties.”

When the request was made, Smith didn’t want Emani’s biological mother to be informed. Nipsey Hussle’s family believes that she isn’t able to provide a stable environment for Emani.
