The hip-hop icon took to Instagram to share his message. “Aside from the burden, most men recognize that women carry,” he wrote. “I have been blessed with a special awakening to sensibilities that I would never have had in this lifetime. I send love to all the queens out there born into and forever living in an unequal society created by men for men.”
“I hope you see that it’s changing…not fast enough but it is… I see you sisters. Keep shining. God only gives you what you can handle.”
Many Instagram users thanked Simmons in the comments for his message.
