Country Music Fans Are Boycotting Wrangler Jeans Over Partnership With Lil Nas X
Some country music fans are big mad.
After Wrangler jeans announced a capsule collection from their partnership with Lil Nas X, some country music fans got pissed off and are calling for a full-on boycott.
The jeans, which are a limited edition are a nod to Lil Nas X’s No. 1 hit “Old Town Road”; the remix of the song features country musician Billy Ray Cyrus (father of Miley Cyrus).
“Cowboy hat from Gucci/Wrangler on my booty/Can’t nobody tell me nothin’,” Lil Nas X rhymes.
Some country music purists and some racists alike hate to see Lil Nas X, a young black musician rocking their favorite dungaree brand, and have made it known with their intricate commentary on social media.
y’all really boycotting wrangler?? is it that deep 🧐

Lil Nas X took to Twitter to inquire about the boycott. “Y’all really boycotting wrangler?? is it that deep,” he wrote.
