Love & Hip Hop: Mendeecees Harris Getting Out of Jail Early

Good  news for ‘Love & Hip Hop‘ star Mendeecees Harris.  The father of four and husband to Yandy Smith, is set to be released from prison in 2020, three years earlier than originally expected.

Mendeecees’ original bid in 2015 was for 8 years after he plead guilty to drug trafficking.  He confessed to his involvement from 2006-2008 to being a part of a drug ring that transported illegal substances from New York City to Rochester, NY.   He tried to fight the sentence in an appeals court.

Mendeecees ended up serving 15 months before getting bail, and that time went toward his ultimate sentence.  He’s already finished a substance abuse prevention class as well as courses for budgeting and parenting while in prison. He also took classes for nutrition and public speaking.

An official release date in 2020 has not been announced.
