HAPPY BIRTHDAY NIPSEY: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Today, we are celebrating Nipsey Hussle's life.  The rapper and activist would have been 34  years old today.  According to the L.A. Times,  'there are no official public events scheduled to celebrate the young king's life in Los Angeles, but many are expecting large crowds to gather at Crenshaw Boulevard and Slauson Avenue, the site of Hussle’s store, the Marathon Clothing.'

The L.A. Tmes is reporting that Nipsey's family turned down proposals for a public celebration, choosing instead to mourn privately and visitors can no longer take pictures outside the Marathon Clothing store.

Also, earlier this month, an 8-foot-high fence wrapped with green fabric was erected around the parking lot and store in preparation for what the lot’s owner has said will be “Nipsey Hussle Tower.”
