(Photo by Matt Cardy/Getty Images)News 13 is reporting a family was on vacation in South Carolina and while they were walking along Fripp Island in Beaufort County, the family spotted the trash bag-wrapped package floating in the water. They called the police after slicing the package open only to find bricks of white powder which authorities claimed to be about 44 pounds (20 kilograms) of cocaine. Authorities also assessed the cocaine’s value at more than $600,000.
Officials are working to determine its origin.
