Pittsburgh CBS is reporting that federal law enforcement officials are warning those who smoke marijuana to be on the lookout for a new type of fentanyl that’s disguised as marijuana.
An international police bulletin issued to law enforcement agencies all over the country says while the green, leafy product is primarily fentanyl, it’s also tested positive for heroin, tramadol and traces of methamphetamine.
The disguised marijuana has already turned up in Ohio and Canada and making its rounds across the country.
“It’s not only potentially dangerous for drug users, but for unsuspecting officers who think they might be handling weed when it’s actually fentanyl, which is much more deadly to the touch.”
