With the Ron Rivera era over for the Carolina Panthers, there was much speculation over who would take over the coaching reigns under new owner David Tepper.
Well, according to multiple sources, the Panthers have found their man in Baylor head coach Matt Rhule. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the deal is a 7-year deal worth $60-million plus.
The young college coach has been a hot prospect in recent weeks, with multiple reports saying the New York Giants were making him their primary target. ESPN reports that Rhule cancelled his interview plans with other teams after Tepper met with him.
