Rapper Killer Mike is endorsing Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. The Atlanta native recently gave a powerful speech during a Sanders campaign event, and that speech narrates Sanders’ latest campaign video, called “Powerful.”

He referenced writer James Baldin, “I remember Baldwin saying, ‘ You asked my father to wait. My brother to wait. My uncle to wait. How long must I wait on freedom? How long must I wait on rights and equality and liberty?’ And as a black child that resonated with me because I knew I had been denied and I personalized that,” Killer Mike said.

“But as I grew I started to understand poor white people have been denied. Women have been denied. Gays and lesbians. Transgender people have been denied. Immigrant children have been denied.”

The rapper then asked audience members of the rally to look to their neighbors and say, “The time is now! There are more of us. We are stronger. We will wait no longer.”

Take a look at the speech below.
