Basketball fans got a big blast of news today, with the Atlantic Coast Conference joining several others in canceling the remainder of the ACC Tournament.

The ACC joins the majority of the other major conferences, which won't be holding their tournaments either: the Big Ten, Big 12, SEC, Pac-12, American, Atlantic 10, Conference USA, MAC and WAC. The Big East continued its quarterfinal matchups today.

This comes a day after the NCAA announced an unprecedented move in saying that all games in the men's and women's tournaments would be held with only essential staff and some families in attendance.

Some have speculated that with the NBA and other major sports suspending play, at least temporarily, that the NCAA Tournament may not even happen at all.
