As a way to honor hip-hop and R&B's artists, producers, and songwriters, Timbaland and Swizz Beatz has created a virtual battle series called "Verzuz." The popular battle series has been taking place on social media via Instagram Live during quarantine and music fans have been excited about it. During a recent interview with ESPN, T.I. said that he views the battles as celebrations.

When ESPN's Richard Jefferson asked Tip if he was going to participate in the battles, the Atlanta rapper said, "I ain’t really trippin’, bruh. I battled with the crack era and won. So I’m not really..." T.I.'s voice trailed off as he jokingly explained that he actually feels that the battles are celebratory.

"I’m a veteran from the war on drugs and I’m still here but as far as these catalogs go, I don’t see them as battles. I see them as celebrations," T.I. said. During the interview, the "I'm Serious" rapper was asked if he 'Would you rather have the Falcons win the Super Bowl or the Hawks win the finals?'"

"Falcons win the super bowl!" Tip said three times, excitedly.

"For the Hawks right, we've been to the Eastern Conference Finals. We've been to the Playoffs and we've had superstars in winning seasons and so forth. We've never been to the finals," T.I. explained in between laughter."The Falcons have been to the Super Bowl twice, empty-handed both. Okay, but the last time was a travesty [of] hope that should never be spoken of again."

"The manner in which my Falcons lost that Super Bowl, bruh. Listen, man! Karma got to come back around. The sun shines on a dog's ass once or twice in the summer. You get what I'm saying? Even a broken clock is right two times a day," T.I. said.
