Cardi B Mocks Ben Shapiro After Pundit Condemns Explicit ‘WAP’ Lyrics
Cardi B recently responded to the conservative political pundit Ben Shapiro after he condemned the explicit lyrics of the rapper’s new single “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion. “I can’t believe conservatives soo mad about WAP,” Cardi B tweeted.
The Bronx rapper then continued to retweet a myriad of fan-made memes and remakes of Shapiro reciting “WAP” lyrics on his digital talk show. Several of the images that were tweeted compared the pundit to The Simpsons character Waylon Smithers in an episode where he covers his eyes while strippers dance around him.
Shapiro, the co-founder and editor of the conservative website The Daily Wire, gave his interpretation of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s new song in a clip that has since gone viral.

“Wet a– P-word, P-word is female genitalia,” Ben Shapiro recited Cardi B’s verse. After Shapiro’s acapella rendition of “WAP”, he condemned the lyrics “This is what feminists fought for. This is what the feminist movement was all about, and if you say anything differently it’s ’cause you’re a misogynist, see?” Shapiro said.
As one person on twitter commented, “Ben Shapiro advocating for free speech and then critiquing WAP is proof that men just don’t like women showing their sexuality in a positive way.”

The single is the “Money” rapper’s latest viral hit that has garnered the number one spot on iTunes, Apple Music, and Spotify. It also has been the topic of discussion about censorship and sexuality via social media. Since “WAP’s” release, several conservative pundits and politicians have condemned the song’s explicit nature.
