Beyonce Sends Young Cancer Patient a Bouquet of Flowers
A young girl named Lyric Chanel is currently fighting brain cancer/anaplastic ependymoma, and Beyonce recently gifted her a bouquet of flowers. The “Black Parade” singer sent Lyric a beautiful bouquet of white roses and orchids along with a special note.
“When the Queen Bey sends you flowers. Thank you so much @beyonce Lyric was so shocked to get mail from you and she said Beyonce is the Best!!!” Lyric’s caretaker wrote on the young girl’s Instagram page. “We love you so much and she hopes to one day meet you.”
A video was shared on the social media platform of Lyric expressing her excitement for her gift from Bey. “Beyonce, thank you so much for these flowers. I love you and I can’t wait to meet you,” Lyric said in the video.
Using a few lyrics from her hit song “Love On Top,” Beyonce wrote to Lyric, “Honey, Honey I can see the stars all the way from here, I can feel the sun whenever you’re near. I was so moved to see how these lyrics inspired you, not nearly as much as you inspired me. I can’t wait to meet you one day and I’m so happy you’re home safely. You are a survivor. God bless, B. “
“I cannot believe you got flowers from Queen B,” Lyric’s caretaker can be heard saying in the background of the video, off-camera. “You know why?” Lyric asks. “Why?” her caretaker responds. “Because I’m a queen,” Lyric replies. “Oh, really?” her caretaker responds. “Yes. She says I only give things to queens and I’m a queen,” Lyric said. “You sure are,” Lyric’s caretaker says. “Yes, I am. I’m the queen’s friend,” Lyric responds.
