Beyonce, Rihanna, And Nicki Minaj All Step Up To #EndSars

Many celebrities have all stepped up to speak about the EndSars Movement currently happening in Nigeria.

Per The Guardian, the movement is aimed at ending police brutality in the country. They state, "Anger over abuses by the police’s notorious special anti-robbery squad (Sars) erupted into widespread demonstrations last week, forcing the government to scrap the unit."

"The crowds have continued to grow despite the announcement of a string of reforms from the rattled authorities. At least 10 people have died and dozens injured in the demonstrations, which have been met with force by police units."

Beyonce posted about the protests and shared how she would help.

"I am heartbroken to see the senseless brutality taking place in Nigeria," she wrote. "There has to be an end to SARS. We have been working on partnerships with youth organizations to support those protesting for change. We are collaborating with coalitions to provide emergency healthcare, food and shelter. To our Nigerian sisters and brothers, we stand by you."

Rihanna has been vocal about the cause too. On social media, she said, "I can't bear to see this torture and brutalization that is continuing to affect nations across the planet. It's such a betrayal to the citizens, the very people put in place to protect are the ones we are most afraid of being murdered by! My heart is broken for Nigeria man!! It is unbearable to watch! I'm so proud of your strength and not letting up on the fight for what's right!"

Nicki Minaj added, "Standing with & praying for the brave young people of Nigeria who are on the front lines of this senseless violence. Your voice is being heard."

Other celebrities who have spoken out include Kanye West, Chance The Rapper, Gabrielle Union, and Lil Baby.
