TikTok Crashed, So People Made Memes About It On Twitter
If you hadn’t noticed yesterday (July 6), TikTok crashed, with DownDetector showing a spike in outages starting around 4 p.m. ET.
Most users reported having issues watching videos, while others weren’t able to log in or upload content. The app also experienced problems when it came to liking videos, seeing the user’s name and seeing comments.
The issue was apparently resolved about five hours later, TikTok reported in a tweet, but not before their loyal users took to Twitter to cry out their woes by the form of memes.

Another user noted that TikTok’s algorithm suffered from the outage. The video sharing app’s For You Page was showing “generic” videos:
