Dr. Dre Was Served with Divorce Docs at a Cemetery
Dr. Dre and Nicole Young’s divorce just keeps getting messier.
TMZ reports that on Monday a process server for Young attempted to serve Dr. Dre with legal documents at the cemetery where he was burying his grandmother.
However, there is miscommunication as to where Dre was confronted by the process server. Sources connected to Dre told the outlet that the server came up to him at the burial site as Dre was standing by his grandmother’s casket and attempted to serve him the documents. Sources close to Young told the outlet that Dre was actually in the parking lot of the cemetery where the process server attempted to give him the documents after the burial took place.
Whichever way it happened, the rap mogul expressed immense anger and was unable to take the papers from the process server in hand. Dre’s sources claim the process server dropped the documents by the gravesite. Young’s sources say they were dropped in the parking lot.
The papers left at the burial site or parking lot involve Young’s attorney’s fees which Dre has been ordered to pay. Between Young and Dre there is a dispute on how much the rap mogul is supposed to pay, as he paid already paid $325,433 in attorney’s fees. However, the judge concluded that the full amount to be paid is $1,550,000, leaving a balance of $1,224,567 for the rap mogul to pay. The legal documents include the judge’s final order of $1,550,000 in which he is subjected to pay the remaining balance.
