Future Adds Five New Songs To ‘I Never Liked You’

Future has shared the deluxe version of his album I NEVER LIKED YOU which now features five new songs.

The ATL native posted the updated tracklist to his Instagram Monday which now features five new songs, including collaborations with Lil Baby, Lil Durk, 42 Dugg, and Babyface Ray, as well as Future’s Freebandz mate Young Scooter.

The Pluto creator’s previously released anti-Valentine's day single “Worst Day” also finds its home on the deluxe version of the album.

I NEVER LIKED YOU follows the rapper’s 2020 album High Off Life which featured the hit “Life Is Good” with Drake.

• 10. “Rich $ex”, ‘DS2’ (2015)

  "Rich $ex" boasts about the finer things in life and the title plays on replacing the "S" with the dollar sign "$." The song created a stir as the music video featured Blac Chyna, Tyga's ex and the mother to his son King Cairo, which drove dating rumors. Future also dropped the music video on Tyga's birthday, Nov. 19. The song went platinum in 2020.

  The third track on Future's 2015 album "DS2" which stands for "Dirty Sprite 2." This song has the only feature on the album, fellow Grammy-winning rapper Drake. Originally, the ATL rapper didn't want to have any features on the album. "I didn't want to go back into the whole thing of asking somebody to get on the album," he explained, per Song Facts. "I wanted everybody to feel positive energy and let the album be about the music and it wasn't about features." However, Drake was the one that reached out. "Drake called me," he explained. "He was like, 'You turn the album in yet?' I was like, 'Nah.' Organically, it just happened, I feel like. It was just meant to happen." The two would go on to release the joint mixtape "What A Time To Be Alive" later that year.

  The track title is named after the iconic Michael Jordan brand logo which was later used by Nike to promote Jordan merchandise items. Future and Drake debuted this song at Austin City Limits along with the song "Big Rings," another fan-favorite from the collab.
• 7. “Life Is Good” ft. Drake, ‘High Off Life’ (2020)

  Future and Drake team up again with "Life Is Good." The track was released in 2020 and debuted at No. 2 on the Hot 100, and spent eight weeks in that spot. It is the first song to spend eight weeks in that spot, per Song Facts. "Life Is Good" also gives Future his highest chart ranking. The remix released in February of 2020 taps in DaBaby and Lil Baby adding up some new bars to Future's verse replacing Drake's, leaving the Toronto rapper with four lines. The song went nine times platinum-certified in March of 2021.

• 6. “Turn On The Lights”, ‘Pluto’ (2012)

  "Turn On The Lights" was released on Future's 2012 album 'Pluto.' Future teams up with hitmaking producer "Mike Will Made It" which became a surprise hit for the both of them. The vibe of the track is different from previous tracks Future had released at the time. The track was well-received by fans and hit No.2 on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts. The track ended up going two times certified platinum in 2020.

• 5. “March Madness”, ’56 Nights’ (2015)

  "March Madness" is the lead single to the rapper's 2015 mixtape '56 Nights.' The track title references the NCAA college basketball tournament. The song went certified platinum by the RIAA in 2017 and is currently two times platinum. A remix was later released including a verse with Nas. The song caught popularity when LeBron James was seen warming up to it for the NBA Finals.

  "Perkys Calling" from his 2016 mixtape Purple Reign is another song that makes a deeply emotional turn for the rapper. He opens up about his addiction to percocets and how even when he's sober he still wants to get high. "I can hear the purple callin' I can hear them perkys callin'" repeatedly in the track. His vulnerability is highly appreciated amongst his fans.

  "F--- Up Some Commas" also known as "Commas" is about spending money, a reoccurring theme in a lot of Future's songs. "I wanted the average person to feel like they wanna f--- up some commas," Future explained in his documentary Like I Never Left. "It feel like this is a motivational song. It makes you feel like you have a chance to do it." The song with three times certified platinum in 2020.

• 2. “Mask Off”, ‘Future’ (2017)

  In "Mask Off" Futures raps about his drug addiction and repeats "percocets" and "molly" throughout the song. The flute samples the hypnotic flute from "Prison Song" by Tommy Butler. In his 2019 Apple Music documentary The WIZRD, the rapper admits that the song was released before the flute sample was cleared. The song was well-received by fans and went eight times certified platinum by the RIAA.

  "Codeine Crazy" from his 2014 mixtape 'Monster' is where the Atlanta rapper gets vulnerable with his fans. The song serves as the outro for the project that precedes his 2014 album Honest. With the lyrics "Reminded myself when I used to get loaded/ Reminded myself that I’m still getting loaded” he gets personal about his drug addiction. This project put him on the map to solidify his place, not as a guest-verse artist but taking the plunge to center stage.
