LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - FEBRUARY 11: Rihanna poses for a picture as she celebrates her beauty brands fenty beauty and fenty skin at Goya Studios on February 11, 2022 in Los Angeles, California.

Although Rihanna decided to skip the Met Gala as she awaits the arrival of her and A$AP Rocky’s first child, the singer still shut down the gala as she was honored in a special way. The Fenty mogul shared a video highlighting Vogue‘s special way to honor her as her statue was unveiled inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday night (May 2).

“Shut down the met in marble!” Rihanna captioned an Instagram clip. “What’s more gilded than that? Lol! Thank you @metmuseum and @voguemagazine for this historic tribute! y’all bad for this one!”

Rihanna’s statue shows off her baby bump and form-fitted dress that she wore for the May cover of Vogue.

Vogue shared the video as well captioning it, “The statue of ‘Eirene (The Personification of Peace)’ is usually the highest-profile marble goddess @themetmuseum Greco-Roman galleries,” the post read. “But now we’ve got @badgalriri, straight off this month’s Vogue cover.”
