Amazon has announced a new shopping extravaganza with deals abounding - Prime Early Access Sale!

For the first time ever, Amazon is having what is essentially a second Prime Day event in one year.  It's called the Prime Early Access Sale and it kicks off October 11 and runs through October 12.  Amazon Prime Members will have access to rock-bottom prices, which are coming at a perfect time to kick start your holiday shopping.

"We are so excited to help Prime members kick off the holiday season with Amazon's new Prime Early Access Sale—an exclusive opportunity for members to get deep discounts on top brands we know they are looking for this time of year," said Jamil Ghani, vice president of Amazon Prime. "And members can start enjoying exclusive Prime benefits and offers now, plus find gift ideas for the family with our holiday gift guides and this year’s Toys We Love list."

According to the release, Amazon plans to introduce a new Top 100 list, that's basically a holiday gift guide of popular items.

"New deals from the list will drop throughout the event, offering deep savings across all top categories, including electronics, fashion, home, kitchen, pets, toys, and Amazon devices. Holiday gift guides and Amazon’s Toys We Love list will also make it easier for Prime members to discover, shop, and save on deals this holiday season."

According to USA Today, Prime Day was a massive success this year. "We saw huge deals during Amazon Prime Day 2022 on Tuesday, July 12 and Wednesday, July 13, and the just-announced Prime Early Access sale is expected to have many of the same Prime Day-level markdowns."

If you're not yet an Amazon Prime member, now is the perfect time to join and take advantage of the epics deals sure to be available during the Prime Early Access Sale. While Amazon hasn't released its list of deals yet, it would be a safe bet to be on the lookout for rock-bottom prices on high-end electronics like smart tvs and deals on quality cookware.

Amazon does encourage members to plan ahead for the sale, with a couple of useful tips:

  • Set up Personalized Deal Notifications: Prime members can subscribe to receive deal alert notifications related to their recent Amazon searches and recently viewed items. All they have to do is visit the Prime Early Access Sale event page on the Amazon app between now and the event to create deal alerts. Once Prime Early Access Sale begins, members will receive push notifications on any available deals.
  • Create Deal Lists with Alexa: Busy Prime members who don’t want to miss a deal can add products to their Wish List, Cart, or Save for Later list. Alexa can notify members up to 24 hours before eligible deals go live on items they've added to their lists—and even offer to purchase the deal once it’s available.

The Most EXTRA Pumpkin Spice Items in Fayetteville This Season

Like it or not, Pumpkin Spice Season is upon us Fayetteville!

As declared by Starbucks, who have released their iconic fall flavors to grocery stores already, and Dunkin Donuts dropping their pumpkin laden menu on August 17th .

What makes pumpkin spice so popular? According to a study from inverse.com "... the reason this drink has a cult following may have just as much to do with its actual taste as with the nostalgia we’ve cultivated around it," Sarah Cormiea told Inverse. "When it comes to memory, scent is one of the most powerful triggers. It’s especially powerful when it’s confined to a period of time.

“We know that when you go back to your grandma's house or something and you're like ‘ah smells like grandma's house’ that can remind you of all my childhood summers there,” Cormiea explains. “But if you visit grandma every day you don't get that intense memory experience."

As a result, smelling a familiar scent can be a strong trigger for a memory — especially if it's a scent from childhood. This connection can weaken if we’re over-exposed to a smell but works particularly well for scents — like a pumpkin spice latte — that are familiar but seasonal or limited.

That being said, the pumpkin spice craze can go to far. We've put together a list for all you Fayetteville folks looking for the most extra pumpkin spice items of this season.
