The relationship is reportedly a violation of the franchise’s code of conduct, which led to Udoka's one-year suspension from the NBA team.
Udoka has faced both professional and personal scrutiny for his actions since his suspension began immediately. The NBA coach is also engaged to actress Nia Long.
For weeks, fans have been trying to figure out who the mystery mistress could have been. Her name was not released when the news first broke of their relationship. According to a report from the Daily Mail, the woman in question was Kathleen Nimmo Lynch, who is the Team Service Manager. The 34-year-old is reportedly married with three children.
The outlet reports that she served as a team liaison arranging travel, lodging, and game tickets for Celtics family members at home and on the road. It's is likely that she arranged travel for Udoka's fiancée, actress Nia Long.
A source familiar with the investigation told DailyMail.com that the affair was consensual, short-lived, and had ended by the time investigators got involved.
Lynch apparently was close friends with the former legendary NBA player Danny Ainge, who served as the team's executive director of basketball operations before leaving the franchise last year.
The outlet reports that "Ainge learned early in the summer that the Celtics had initiated an investigation into Udoka's relationship with Lynch, but he did not intervene in the investigation or decision to suspend the coach."
The source said that "Ainge was deeply disappointed by the affair, especially given the fact they have families."
The power dynamic associated with the improper relationship was reportedly the primary finding.
Sources close to Lynch say she is afraid to publicly show her face.
"She can't even go to a grocery store," one person said.
Udoka and Long have been together since 2010 and were engaged in 2015 according to US Weekly. Long and Udoka share their 10-year-old son Kez. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum also shares son Massai, 21, with ex- Massai Z. Dorsey.

"Celtics coach Ime Udoka had an improper intimate and consensual relationship with a female member of the team staff, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. It’s been deemed a violation of the franchise’s code of conduct," Charania wrote Thursday (Sept. 22).
ESPN reports that Udoka is "likely facing a suspension for the entire 2022-23 season." Assistant coach Joe Mazzulla is likely to become Boston's interim coach for the season, sources told the outlet.
Udoka joined the Celtics last summer after spending time with the San Antonio Spurs, Philadelphia 76ersand Brooklyn Nets as an assistant coach following his NBA playing career.
