The Doll House with Babydoll

Weekdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

After Irv Gotti’s infamously revealing Drink Champs, & Murda Inc. Docu-series Ashanti finally speaks out. One of my favorite things about this In Real Life interview with Angie Martinez is the poise, class, and humility Ashanti exhibits. Despite having her name drug for filth during Irv’s recent media run, the closest Ashanti came to true disrespect was “I see a lot of feminine qualities.”

While Irv’s recent admissions about his “relationship” with Ashanti decades ago portray him as a victim. Sitting innocently at home (with his wife) while finding out one of his “girlfriends” was in a real relationship. “You wanna be with Nelly, go sign to Dirty Ent.” According to Ashanti this was Irv Gotti’s response to her relationship with Nelly. She says Irv not only refused to allow her to record music, he also demanded that other artists not work with her.

In the interview she details a very toxic work environment and personal life while involved with Murda Inc. Manipulation, control, and even death threats are spoken on. This is the closest I’ve ever seen an interviewer get fans to see who Ashanti is outside of her public persona. Absolute must watch:

A goal broken down into steps becomes a plan. A plan backed by action makes your dreams come true.” She is a graduate of Carolina School of Broadcasting, in Charlotte North Carolina. Babydoll colloquially delivers compelling content and information. She connects with listeners not only over the airwaves, but also through social media platforms; as well as in their communities where it counts most.
