UPDATE: At 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dreamville announced delays would be extended to 3 p.m.
"Due to updated weather forecasts, we are planning to open gates at 3pm today with downtown shuttles and parking starting at 2pm. The festival box office will also open at 2pm as Dix Park access is closed to the public until this time in the interest of public safety. Please stay tuned for additional festival updates including new Saturday performance times. In the meantime, follow us on social media for more festival news. See you all soon!"
Original story:
It wouldn't be a Dreamville Festival without some weather getting in the way. Organizers announced that the start of the festival will be delayed Saturday because of bad weather.
Due to severe weather forecasts including high winds, lightning, and rain with impacts to Dix Park, gates for the first day of Dreamville Festival will open at 2pm on Saturday," Dreamville said in an Instagram post. "We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow afternoon. Follow our social media for more info including new performance times, and stay tuned for an additional update to follow tomorrow morning at 10am."
Gates had been scheduled to open at noon, with the first artist - Marqus Clae - slated to start at 1 p.m. That time will be adjusted, though it's unclear yet if it will mean any artists are removed from the schedule or not.
We'll keep you updated as Dreamville lets us know more.
Dreamville Festival Raleigh 2023: Your Complete Guide – Schedule, Parking and More
Dreamville Festival is this weekend - April 1 and 2 - in Raleigh, at Dorothea Dix Park. So it's time to get everyone ready with everything you need to know about the festival.
Fayetteville native J. Cole and his Dreamville record label are putting on the third installment of the the event, with record crowds expected.
Cole started the event way back in 2018, but found itself delayed because of hurricanes. That moved the event into the spring of 2019, and things went pretty well.
Problems came again the next year, as the festival had to be cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. That led to the second installment not coming until the spring of 2022.
But we are back with no delays for the third version, and Cole has a superstar lineup set to wow people.
Let's take a look at all things Dreamville Festival 2023, including where to park, who's playing, what to expect, and more.

How to Get to the Festival
According to Dreamville: We encourage all attendees to reduce our carbon footprint by riding our shuttles, walking, biking, catching the train to Raleigh or by carpooling to the fest! You have a wide range of travel options available to you below!
Official Event Parking
Dreamville OFFICIAL EVENT PARKING will be available for purchase at NC STATE UNIVERSITY’S CENTENNIAL CAMPUS, right across the street from Dorothea Dix Park.
These parking spaces will be limited and will fill up quick -- FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE!
PLEASE NOTE: Overnight parking is not permitted. All Parking passes are for daily entry into the Parking decks and lots only. Vehicles left overnight in these Parking decks and lots will be towed at the owner’s expense. Please plan accordingly.
Ride the Official Downtown Shuttle
Dreamville Festival also recommends taking the shuttle. Here's the scoop:
Whether you’re booking a hotel room in Downtown Raleigh for the weekend or just planning to take advantage of the cheap parking in one of the Downtown Parking decks, the OFFICIAL DOWNTOWN SHUTTLE is 110% the best move for you to get back and forth from the festival.
The OFFICIAL DOWNTOWN SHUTTLE will be picking up from MOORE SQUARE in the heart of Downtown, AND will drop you off RIGHT next to the West Entrance into Dreamville Fest (closer than walking from OFFICIAL PARKING AT NC STATE).
Your DOWNTOWN SHUTTLE pass is good for the entire weekend and covers you for trips to/from the Fest each day (you only need to purchase one pass!)
The DOWNTOWN SHUTTLES will run non-stop continuous service from 10:00am (2 hours before gates officially open each day) until 1:00am (2+ hours after the end of the Festival each night).
