SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA - JUNE 13: Rapper Jay-Z and his daughter Blue Ivy Carter look on during the second quarter of Game Five of the 2022 NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center on June 13, 2022 in San Francisco, California. In hip hop culture there tend to be a lot of generalizations and misconceptions around fatherhood. I want to take the month of June to highlight father figures for the culture. What better way to start off than with one of the most influential figures to the culture?
As blogs and social media feeds go off about our Hip Hop Princess Blue Ivy surprising us with a performance during Queen Bey’s Renaissance Tour… my inner Hip Hop Head wanted to see Jay’s reaction. Needless to say I was far from disappointed when I found it.
Over the years we’ve seen countless beautiful moments between Jay & Blue. Still him watching his baby kill it on stage in front of thousands of fans was beautiful to watch.
Check it out below & share your proud dad moments with me all month. These don’t have to be celebrity dads, just good ol’ proud Hip Hop dad moments: babydoll@foxy99.com.
