Dustystaytrue Bio

Arriving on the scene in 2020 with his smash single “Never Change” (80M+ streams across DSPs), Connecticut-native Dustystaytrue narrates his personal highs and lows with a charismatic self-assurance. His memorable verses, earnest lyricism, and catchy pop structures were an immediate hit with fans, and he’s been building on that momentum ever since. Further, his voice is distinctive and his story is credible; and combining those strengths has secured a loyal following. Revealing an emotional depth in his pen that makes for relatable music, Dusty continued his run following "Never Change" with a string of singles including "Top Dog", "Solar System,” and "Talk Tough” to name a few. In 2021, he released his eagerly anticipated debut project True To Me, featuring standout tracks such as the narrative-heavy “Demons” (which touts upwards of 600K views on YouTube) and fan favorite “Sauce Me Down.” In the latter half of 2021, Dusty joined his labelmate and former XXL Freshman Toosii on the multi-city "Thank You For Believing" tour, a surefire signal of his ascension in hip-hop. But his commitment to reaching that next level in his artistry didn’t end there. He capped a breakthrough 2022 with the release of his impassioned LP, Talk More Soon. The 15-track project housed guest verses from Blacc Zacc and Toosii, including the R&B-tinged collab “Reflections.” Now, with a major tour under his belt, the dedication of his homegrown fanbase, and an attention-grabbing sound in pocket, Dustystaytrue is poised to have a breakout 2023.
