Travis Scott To Perform ‘Utopia’ On ‘Circus Maximus Tour’
Travis Scott is taking Utopia on the road. The Houston native announced that he would perform his album on the upcoming Circus Maximus Tour.
The venues and dates for the tour have yet to be confirmed. According to Pitchfork, Live Nation posted a list of dates on social media on Tuesday morning (Aug. 8) though that post has since been deleted. One venue has been confirmed as Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said that Scott and his team “booked the Toyota Center for a concert in October,” according to ABC 13.
“The Toyota Center has been a good partner with the City of Houston, and we expect this to continue for this and every other concert. Before today’s announcement, Toyota Center representatives convened meetings with public safety officials and the City’s special events office,” the mayor’s statement read. “They will continue working together to ensure this concert’s safety, not unlike the many other concerts and events held at Toyota Center each year.”

Turner added that the 19,000-seat arena is a different type of venue compared to Scott’s Astroworld. That was held in the parking lot of NRG.
However, on his own social media, the rapper confirmed that he will be hitting the road “soon.”
“Utopia tour soon U.S. and Euro dates soon to be announce [sic] I miss the road and I miss y’all,” the “SICKO MODE” rapper wrote in the caption.
This is Scott’s first tour since the Astroworld tragedy. It left ten dead and thousands injured due to a crowd surge. A grand jury decided not to press criminal charges on Scott for the tragic incident.
This tour announcement follows the release of Utopia, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The album has some superstars backing it. Fellow Houston native Beyoncé, and frequent collaborator Drake have lent their talents to the project. Utopia also features Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Kanye West, Bon Iver, Playboi Carti, 21 Savage, The Weeknd, Young Thug, and more.
