Class is in session! Megan Thee Stallion has partnered up with Frito Lay. It is the brand behind Flamin' Hot Cheetos. Together, they will launch Flamin' Hot University, or "FU" for short. In a new video, the Grammy winner and HBCU graduate is the face of "FU." It will sell exclusive merchandise that will go towards a scholarship of up to $150,000 at Texas Southern University (TSU). The HBCU is Megan's alma mater and is based in her home city of Houston, TX.

The exclusive collection includes: a Stallion Varsity Jacket, Hot Girl Club Sweater, Flamin' Hot Tennis Skirt, Flamin' Hot Nameplate, Flamin' Hot Jersey, and Flamin' Hot shorts. The collection was created by Melody Ehsani.

In addition to the scholarship fund for TSU, Flamin' Hot will contribute $100,000 to the Pete and Thomas Foundation. The Pete and Thomas Foundation is a nonprofit organization Megan launched last year in honor of her parents.

"I had an absolute blast bringing Flamin’ Hot University to life and tapping into my love for food and fashion. But more than anything, I’m extremely proud that we were able to uplift TSU students, establish an impactful scholarship fund, support the Pete and Thomas Foundation, and promote the importance of education," Megan said in a statement.

Tina Mahal, senior vice president of marketing at Frito-Lay, also said, "Everyone deserves to be their Flamin’ Hot self, but student loans can create a significant burden on college graduates — especially at HBCUs where students graduate with 19% more debt than those at non-HBCUs1. The Flamin’ Hot University scholarship fund at TSU was designed to ease some of the financial pressures student loans bring so graduates can focus on unleashing their hottest potential."

Megan's Past Partnership With Flamin' Hot Cheetos

This is not the first time Megan mixed business with pleasure (aka her love for Flamin' Hot Cheetos). The Grammy-winning rapper worked with the chips brand last year in their Super Bowl commercial. The commercial was to help promote the products Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and Flamin’ Hot Doritos. For the commercial, she created the song "Flamin’ Hotties."

After a social media hiatus, Megan Thee Stallion is back. Megan dropped off social media after the sentencing of Tory Lanez (born Daystar Peterson). Lanez was found guilty of three charges: first-degree assault with a firearm, discharge of a firearm with gross negligence, and having a concealed firearm in a vehicle. He shot the rapper in the foot in 2020 after leaving a party at Kylie Jenner's home.

The rapper was sentenced to 10 years in prison after his bail motion was denied in September. Prosecutors initially asked for 13 years. Following his sentencing, Lanez wrote a note to his fan base, "The Umbrellas" on Instagram.

Tory's statement read: "In no way shape or form was I apologizing for the charges I’m being wrongfully convicted of," Tory wrote on Instagram. "I remain on the stance that I refuse to apologize for something that I did not do. I’ve faced adversity my whole life and every time it looked like I would lose, I came out on top. This is nothing but another moment where my back is against the wall and I refuse to stop fighting till I come out victorious. Tough times don’t last, tough people do. To my family, friends, and umbrellas thank you for your continued support. See you soon."

Megan didn't appear in court but she sent a statement in on her behalf.

"He not only shot me, he made a mockery of my trauma," Megan wrote, per Law&Crime reporter  Megan Cuniff. "He tried to position himself as a victim and set out to destroy my character and my soul.

"He lied to anyone that would listen and paid bloggers to disseminate false information about the case on social media. He released music videos and songs to damage my character and continue his crusade."

She continued: "At first, he tried to deny the shooting ever happened. Then, he attempted to place the blame on my former best friend. In his tantrum of lies, he’s blamed the system, blamed the press and, as of late, he’s using his childhood trauma to shield himself and avoid culpability."

"For once, the defendant must be forced to face the full consequences of his heinous actions and face justice," she concluded.
