"He’s (Drake) our most famous investor and the fact that he wants to give something back to fans by letting everyone try Dave’s Hot Chicken on him, that says it all," said Dave’s Hot Chicken’s CEO Bill Phelps per USA Today.

His song with J. Cole, "First Person Shooter," also scored the rapper his 13th No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. He is now tied with Michael Jackson in fourth place on this list of artists with the most No. 1 hits.
Super Bowl 2025: 5 Hip-Hop and R&B Artists That Should Perform
The 2024 Super Bowl Halftime performerwas announced over the weekend: as you've probably heard, R&B legend Usher is performing. However, who says it's too early to start thinking about some 2025 Super Bowl prospects? While many artists coming up in hip-hop and R&B today can fill a 13-minute set at a festival or perform for thousands of their fans on their own headlining tour, the Super Bowl is an honor in an artist's career that many do not get to accomplish. It takes a certain level of musical impact and discography (if we're being honest) to perform on the world's biggest stage.
Super Bowl 2024
Usher is finally getting the flowers that he deserves. It was a big win for R&B when Usher was announced as the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime performer. In 2021, Usher announced his Las Vegas residency, where he has continued to showcase his talents. But the opportunity to play the Super Bowl Halftime show is something that he admitted that he has wanted for a while.
"It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before,” Usher said in a statement on Sunday, adding, "Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon."
Jay-Z, who signed a multi-year partnership with the NFL through his label Roc Nation, added his thoughts on choosing Usher as the Super Bowl Halftime performer.
"Usher is the ultimate artist and showman. Ever since his debut at the age of 15, he's been charting his own unique course. Beyond his flawless singing and exceptional choreography, Usher bares his soul," said JAY-Z. “His remarkable journey has propelled him to one of the grandest stages in the world. I can't wait to see the magic."
While we can't wait for Usher's monumental performance in a couple of months, we couldn't help but think of some great R&B and hip-hop acts for the Super Bowl in 2025. Take a look at five artists that should headline the 2025 Super Bowl:
Beyoncé

While Beyoncé has performed at the Super Bowl two times--2013 solo and 2018 alongside Bruno Mars and Coldplay--no one would mind if she were to take the stage again. In fact, if she were to grace the stage for a third time, she would be joining latin singer Gloria Estefan and Justin Timberlake in their exclusive three timer Super Bowl club. Estefan and Timberlake are the only artists that have performed three times at the Super Bowl. In 1992, 1995, and 1999, Estefan graced the stage and in 2001, 2004 and 2018 Timberlake performed. If she were to perform on the stage one more time, she would be the only Black performer to have performed at the Super Bowl three times.
Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey is past due for a Super Bowl performance. Her voice is like none other and it is almost insulting at this point that she has not been asked. In her career she has won 5 Grammys, and has 19 No. 1 hits. Let's just say filling up the 14 minute slot at the Super Bowl would not be that hard for the singer.
Drake

Drake is by far one of the most influential artists of this generation. His It's All A Blur Tour with 21 Savage is one of the hottest tours of the year> So, performing at the Super Bowl should be an easy feat. Drake is also notoriously known for bringing out guests during his performances so a "Drizzy and friends" moment during a Super Bowl performance would be iconic.
Janet Jackson

While the last time Janet Jackson went on stage at the Super Bowl there was a controversial moment, we believe that superstar should be asked back on her own terms. Back in 2004, Jackson's right breast was exposed by Justin Timberlake during their performance at the Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show, and she was black-balled for the incident while Timberlake's career soared. If Jackson is asked to perform at the Super Bowl it would be an opportunity for the world to see why she is such a legend.
Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj is one of the best female rappers and her discography speaks for itself. She is also gearing up for her upcoming fifth studio album 'Pink Friday 2.' While the album will be released this year, we wouldn't mind waiting for Nicki to have another couple of hits before the 2025 Super Bowl. She performed with Madonna in 2012, but it would be great to see her headlining her own performance.
