Luck certainly was on the side of one person who recently bought a Lucky for Life ticket in Cumberland County, as part of the North Carolina Education Lottery. The ticket won $5,000 from the drawing on Friday, May 3.

How To Play Lucky For Life

Lucky for Life is a daily contest with the North Carolina Education Lottery. With this particular contest players have the potential to win top prizes of either $25,000 a year for life or $1,000 a day for life.

In order to win the third place prize of $5,000, the ticket must match the number on four of the five white balls, in addition to matching the gold money ball.

Where Was The Ticket Purchased?

According to the NC Education Lottery, the winning Lucky for Life ticket was bought at the Circle K on Pamalee Drive in Fayetteville, just before turning into Country Club Drive.

No one has come forward with the winning ticket as of yet, but they are not the only player in Cumberland County to win big with Lucky or Life. Julius Draughn won the same $5,000 prize from the April 26 drawing after purchasing a ticket in Spring Lake. Incidentally, their ticket was also purchased at a Circle K store.

Upcoming Lottery Drawings

Lucky for Life drawings occur nightly at 10:30 PM. In other lottery news, the next drawing for the NC Powerball takes place tonight at 10:59 PM, with a $214 million jackpot up for grabs.

The North Carolina Mega Millions lottery promises an even bigger jackpot prize of $306 million. The next Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for Tuesday, May 7 at 11:00 PM.
