Alright, Dreamville fans, Fayetteville locals, and J. Cole stans — grab your calendars and block off December 16, 2024. Our very own homegrown rapper, J. Cole, is throwing a party to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his iconic 2014 Forest Hills Drive album. And where else but THE Madison Square Garden in New York City? Yeah, the same place where legends are made.
This isn’t just a concert—it’s a one-night-only, history-making event produced by Live Nation. The countdown is on, and tickets are going to be hotter than Auntie’s sweet potato pie on Thanksgiving. Here’s the scoop:
Get Your Tickets Before They’re Gone
Presale tickets drop December 2. If you’re not on your game by then, the general sale starts December 4. But here’s the real kicker—J. Cole’s keeping the “Dollar and a Dream” spirit alive. On the day of the show, 2,014 tickets will be available for just $1. Yes, you read that right—a BUCK. These special tickets will only be sold in person at a secret location that’ll be announced that same day. It’s giving treasure hunt vibes, but we’re here for it.
Why This Album Deserves a Whole Celebration
2014 Forest Hills Drive wasn’t just another album—it was a cultural moment. Released with ZERO pre-hype singles, it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Tracks like “Apparently” and “No Role Modelz” are still in rotation today, and we all STILL wish there was a J. Cole hotline where he could tell us we’re "smart and beautiful." Plus, the album earned Grammy nods for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance.
Named after the Fayetteville address J. Cole called home until 2003, this album is for everyone who’s hustled to turn their dreams into reality. It’s raw, reflective, and unapologetically real—a certified classic.
Special Treats for the Real Ones
Because J. Cole does NOTHING half-heartedly, he’s rolling out anniversary editions of the 2014 Forest Hills Drive album. These collectors' items come with four never-before-heard bonus tracks and brand-new alternative cover art. Pre-order them on vinyl or CD for your collection—you KNOW they’ll sell out fast.
And if you’ve been taking a walk down memory lane, Cole’s got your back. He’s been re-releasing his classic mixtapes (The Come Up, The Warm Up, and Friday Night Lights) as part of a limited audio series called Inevitable. Finally, Friday Night Lights is streaming officially (we’ve all clearly waited long enough). “This is a very special moment,” Cole said—and honestly? We felt that.
Dreamville Festival 2025
If you can’t make it to the MSG show (or you're just greedy for MORE J. Cole greatness), don’t worry. The Dreamville Festival keeps the celebration going in 2025. Mark your calendars for April 5-6, when the festival returns to Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park. The lineup hasn’t dropped yet, but knowing Dreamville’s track record, it’ll be nothing short of incredible. Ticket sales for the festival kick off December 11, so don’t sleep on that either.
Final Thoughts
From Fayetteville’s streets to Madison Square Garden’s stage, J. Cole’s trajectory has been nothing short of legendary. This 10th-anniversary celebration of 2014 Forest Hills Drive isn’t just about one album—it’s about the dream he turned into reality, inspiring generations of fans along the way.
You’re not going to want to miss this. Whether you’re snagging presale tickets, hunting for those $1 seats, or just vibing to Cole’s music from wherever you are, this event has “iconic” written all over it.

And remember—this isn’t just a concert. It’s a celebration of dreams, hustle, and the music that defined a generation.
