Delays and Closures: Here’s the Updated Schedule of Fayetteville Region Snow Closures
Fayetteville is going to see some snow. Yes, that’s a hard sentence to read and take seriously, but it really looks to be true this time.
And with that snow in the forecast, a number of school systems, businesses and government offices have announced delays, early releases, or closures.
Below is the latest information as of 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21. We’ll update throughout the day.
SCHOOL SYSTEMS
- Cumberland County Schools: Closed Wednesday;
- Public Schools of Robeson County: Remote learning Wednesday; All afternoon activities cancelled Tuesday and Wednesday;
- DODEA Fort Liberty Schools: No school Wednesday;
- Hoke County Schools: Remote learning Tuesday and Wednesday;
- Bladen County: Remote Wednesday;
- Harnett County Schools – Remote learning Wednesday;
- Scotland County – Remote learning Wednesday;
- Sampson County Schools – Asynchronous remote Wednesday;
- Columbus County Schools – Remote instruction Wednesday for CCCA, all other schools closed for teacher workday;
- Moore County – No announcement yet
- Lee County – No announcement yet
- Freedom Christian – Closed Wednesday
- Capital Encore Academy – Closed Wednesday
- Northwood Temple – Closed Wednesday
- Riverside Christan – Closed Wednesday
COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES
- Fayetteville Technical Community College – Closing at 3 p.m. Tuesday, and opening again at 10 a.m. Wednesday
- Campbell University – All evening classes to be held via alternative delivery methods, per instructor guidance;
- Fayetteville State University – Condition 1 starts at 3 p.m. Tuesday, resume normal hours Thursday;
- Methodist University – Remote starting at 3 p.m. Tuesday, and all day Wednesday;
- Central Carolina Community College – Closing at 5 p.m. Tuesday, opening on delay at 10 a.m. Wednesday;
