NEW YORK, NEW YORK – MAY 22: Kid Cudi departs the Manhattan Federal Court during the Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial on May 22, 2025 in New York City. On the final day of week two of the trial, Scott Mescudi a.k.a. Kid Cudi took the stand, telling how Sean "Diddy" Combs broke into his Hollywood Hills home and had his car set on fire in 2011. It happened after Combs found out about Mescudi's relationship with Cassie Ventura.

"I knew Sean Combs was violent," Mescudi said during his testimony. Ventura had told him about times she had been hurt.

On day nine of the trial, prosecutors showed evidence of several alleged crimes. Everything started when Ventura called Mescudi to warn him he might be in danger.

Mescudi testified that he found his place broken into. Someone had opened his Christmas presents and locked his dog in the bathroom.

A few weeks later, someone cut open Mescudi's convertible top and threw in a Molotov cocktail. The jury looked at pictures of the burned car.

Things got heated during a run-in later at SoHo House with Combs. “Sean Combs was standing there, staring out the window with his hands behind his back, like a Marvel supervillain,” Mescudi testified, according to NBC News. When asked about the car attack, the accused said he didn't do it. Mescudi said he got an apology years later from Combs at the same place.

A former assistant, George Kaplan, testified under protection about seeing violent acts. He talked about finding Ventura beaten up in bed.

Makeup artist Mylah Morales spoke about fixing up Ventura's injuries after Combs entered her and Ventura's hotel suite, screaming for Cassie - a swollen eye, split lip, and head wounds. Morales testified that Ventura wouldn't go to the hospital, and Morales did not call the police because she was afraid of Combs.

Frédéric Zemmour, the general manager of the luxury hotel L'Ermitage Beverly Hills, testified that notes on Combs' guest profile had a regular complaint saying "ALWAYS spills candle wax on everything and uses excessive amounts of oil, place the room out of order upon departure for deep cleaning.”

The trial picks back up after the Memorial Day holiday.

The accused faces several charges, including federal sex trafficking and racketeering. He says he's innocent of everything.

*The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
