Bojangles Launches Breakfast Bowl and Brings Back Chicken Rice Bowl for Limited Time

Bojangles just dropped a new Breakfast Bowl. The Chicken Rice Bowl is back too, but only for a while. You can find both at participating spots.

More than 850 restaurants in 20 states will serve these bowls all day long. That means you can grab breakfast when the sun sets if you want.

What's in the Breakfast Bowl? Country-style sausage sits alongside crispy Bo-Rounds. Eggs get mixed in. Southern sausage gravy covers it all, and Monterey Jack cheese melts on top. Simple.

The Chicken Rice Bowl takes a different path. Dirty Rice meets slow-cooked Cajun Pintos at the base. Shredded Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses get sprinkled over that combination. Pick your chicken. Texas Pete hot sauce comes on the side for those who want heat.

"We've taken some of our favorite breakfast ingredients and layered them into a savory, cheesy bowl that is full of the Bojangles flavor our fans know and love," said Marshall Scarborough, Vice President of Menu and Culinary Innovation at Bojangles, in a statement, according to Businesswire.

Scarborough thinks winter calls for this kind of food. The bowls give people a quick meal without much fuss.

"Whether you're looking for a complete meal at a good value or warm comfort food on the go, our bowls have you covered," he said.

The announcement came Monday. Both bowls hit the menu now and stick around until the promotion ends.

Bojangles started in Charlotte back in 1977 with just one restaurant. Now the Carolina-born chain operates company-owned spots and franchises across 20 states.
