With special guests Jessie L. Garner, Director of the Fayetteville Cumberland Reentry Council; and Sandy Ammons, Executive Director of the FTCC Foundation.
Jessie described the “second chance” mission of the Fayetteville Cumberland Reentry Council, begun in 2014 in Fayetteville and recognized by the State of North Carolina in 2016. He knows the commitment it takes to leave his former life and friends behind – coming from his own “background”. With a prison sentence exceeding a life sentence, he followed the Lord and a promise to his Mother. He swore to the Lord in Heaven and his Mother he would work tirelessly to help others find their human potential in an attempt to outperform the harmful acts he had done with positive good ones! And he’s done it!
Sandy Ammons described FTCC’s upcoming virus-friendly Outdoor (1K for Families/5K for Runners) Color Run scheduled on the scenic FTCC grounds Saturday, April 30th. She advised there will be a limit of 400 participants so it’s advantageous to sign up earlier rather than closer to the event. All proceeds from the $35 fee would go to Health/Fitness Instructor/Administrator Trainee scholarships. All interested runners were asked to sign up on the “Trojan 5K” page of the FayTechCC.edu website!
