Destiny’s Child was formed in 1997 and initially started out as a quartet with Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Latavia Roberson, and LeToya Luckett.
Following the success of their 1999 album, The Writing’s On the Wall, which featured DC’s number-one singles “Bills, Bills, Bills” and “Say My Name,” the group endured internal conflict and membership changed: Roberson and Luckett left the group, and were replaced by Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin. However, after five months, Franklin left the group, leaving Destiny’s Child to be a trio.
The Grammy Award-winning group has sold more than sixty million records worldwide to date. Last year (2018), DC3 was united on stage with Beyonce during her iconic Coachella performance.
