Houston rapper Bun B has a new gig, with the recently-crowned Best Burger in America, for his Trill Burger.

Hip Hop legend Bun B, half of the legendary group UGK – along with the late Pimp C – apparently has not only some of the best lyrics in Hip Hop history, but now he has the best burger as well.

According to Good Morning America, he has the best burgers in the country. Along with his partners restaurateur Andy Nguyen of Bored & Hungry, and publicist Nick Scurfield, Bun B launched Trill Burgers.

Trill Burger – which Bun B operates as a pop-up restaurant now – has become famous quickly for its “smash burger style.” These are really thin patties smashed on a griddle with crispy edges and then stacked.

“It’s so surreal that it doesn’t make sense,” Bun B said. “To be in Times Square having won the best burger in America live on Good Morning America, it’s not even in the realm of things that we would have imagined for this brand. We just wanted to put in hard work and be justified for what we did, and today we got the ultimate validation. I can’t wait to bring this burger to America.”

The Trill Burger made its debut was in 2021 at Houston’s Tastemaker Awards. In the year since then, Trill Burgers has had a ton of success. The burgers have been selling out at pop up shops and popular festivals across the country like Coachella.

“I couldn’t be more proud to represent Houston in the biggest burger battle in America,” Bun B said. “I put this city on my back ever since we started UGK, and I am going to continue to carry it culturally, not just in music, but now in food. Let’s go, baby.”

Check out Bun B’s win below along with more Trill Burgers. I may be vegan, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting one of these things!
