Fayetteville Woodpeckers Announce 2022 First Half Promotion Dates

With opening day just over a month away, the Fayetteville Woodpeckers announced the fun promotion and giveaway calendar dates for the first half of the 2022 season on Thursday.

The schedule features regular promotions every weeknight, and on Sundays. Plus there will be 17 giveaway dates on the schedule, seven fireworks shows, four specialty jersey nights, and 20 additional theme nights during the first 36 home games of the schedule.

As we reported Wednesday, the team announced that the season will go on as scheduled, despite the work stoppage at the Major League Baseball level.

“We are excited to announce to our fans that the 2022 Woodpeckers season will start on time with our club opening up in Kannapolis on April 8th and returning home April 12th against the visiting Salem Red Sox,” the team said in a release. “Minor League Spring Training officially started on Monday, February 28th at the Astros Spring Training complex in West Palm Beach, FL.”

Single game tickets for the first have of the 2022 season will go on sale March 12 in person. They’ll be released for sale online on March 14.

The Fayetteville Woodpeckers 2022 season is coming soon. Here's a look at the full team schedule, with the regular season starting on April 8.

"There will be a few exceptions to regular start times in 2022. On Wednesday, April 27th, the Woodpeckers will face off against the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers in a morning ‘Education Day’ game scheduled for 11:05 a.m. Due to scheduling rules, the Tuesday, April 26th game against Kannapolis will start at 6:05 p.m. Also, on Monday, July 4th, the Woodpeckers will host a matinee Independence Day Celebration with a first pitch of 3:05 p.m."
