Judge Reportedly Issues Bench Warrant For Teairra Mari In Dispute With 50 Cent
A judge ordered a bench warrant for Teairra Mari after the Detroit singer failed to appear at a court hearing in her battle with 50 Cent.
The Blast points out, the hearing was held yesterday (Apr. 22) where Mari had been ordered to appear, but the Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood star was a no-show.
Due to Mari not showing up, the Los Angeles judge issued a bench warrant in the amount of $5,000.
Teairra Mari could be arrested if she runs into law enforcement.
50 Cent encouraged the hearing to be set by the court to examine Teairra Mari’s finances, so he can collect the $30,000 that she owes him in attorney fees.
The “In Da Club” rapper was awarded the sum from the “Sponsor” singer after a judge ordered her to pay 50 Cent after he prevailed in her revenge porn lawsuit.
The judge dismissed all claims against 50 Cent and awarded that his attorney fees be paid by Teairra Mari.
Initially, 50 Cent tried to argue for Teairra Mari to pay his entire legal bill, which was a total of $161,660.15, but the judge didn’t grant him the full amount. Instead, the Detroit native was ordered to pay a total of $30,618 to 50 Cent.
Last year, the singer and reality TV star sued both her ex-boyfriend, Akbar Abdul-Ahad and 50 Cent, accusing them of being in cahoots to sexually objectify, threaten, intimidate, humiliate and degrade her.
Teairra Mari claimed that Abdul-Ahad logged into her Instagram account and posted a sexually graphic video of the singer.
After the “Make Her Feel Good” singer removed the video and photo that Abdul-Ahad allegedly posted, 50 Cent posted the material on his own page.
50 Cent denied all of the allegations and said that by the time he shared the image, it had already circulated all over the internet.
