As we previously reported, Goldberg who acts as the moderator on the daytime talk show, began the conversation amongst the cohosts after a Tennessee school district decided to ban Maus, a graphic novel that depicts the horrors of the Holocaust.
Goldberg said during the conversation: "If you're going to do this, then let's be truthful about it because the Holocaust isn't about race."
She added, that the Holocaust was about "man's inhumanity to man" and said it involved "two White groups of people."
Later, Goldberg issued an apology on Twitter:
