The ticket sales were low, negative media reports were targeting the festival, and more, the site reported that the show was canceled, which has now been deleted on the site. The date of the show starts tomorrow, so this is a close hit for all the people who planned on traveling to the show.
The report also shared that the festival failed to obtain the proper health permits, and CEO Joe Brengle from Contra Costa Event Park said "Due to the promoter[‘]s lack of fulfilling contractual obligations ... in the best interest and safety of our facility, event attendees and the City of Antioch have no choice but to cancel the XO Music Festival."
Some artists have spoken out like Trinere, who shared the festival lineup with her message:
So far Ludacris or T.I. have not made any comment publicly about the show.
