Mary J. Blige To Receive Lifetime Achievement Award At 2019 BET Awards
Mary J. Blige will be honored in a major way at the 2019 BET Awards.
The “My Life” singer, who has garnered nine Grammy Awards, will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The announcement came on Wednesday from the BET Awards’ official Instagram page.
Blige will be joining the likes of Whitney Houston, Prince, Anita Baker, Diana Ross, New Edition, Charlie Wilson, and James Brown in being bestowed with the prestigious honor.
The ceremony that takes place on June 23 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles will be hosted by Regina Hall and will feature performances from Cardi B, Migos, H.E.R., DJ Khaled, Lizzo, City Girls, Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus, and Kiana Lede.
The 2019 BET Awards will be airing live on BET and other Viacom-owned networks like VH1 and MTV at 8/7 c.
