On Thursday (June 9), a scheduled hearing for Tory Lanez's felony assault case for allegedly shooting Megan Thee Stallion took place, and things got interesting when prosecutors pointed to Lanez as being a source of allegedly leaked evidence, per Rolling Stone.

Rolling Stone's Nancy Dillion wrote on Twitter: “It was supposed to be [a] simple scheduling hearing, but prosecutor raised issue of more alleged ‘leaks’ of discovery, said she’s ‘trying to ascertain source.’ Tory’s lawyer was adamant any leaks are not coming from her ‘watermarked’ discovery, said Tory declined discovery to be safe.”

Lanez denied that he leaked any confidential information about the case. Previously, we reported that media personality DJ Akademiks wrote in a since-deleted tweet that "Tory Lanez DNA was NOT found" on the weapon allegedly used to shoot Megan in the feet, per Rolling Stone. His name was also brought up during the hearing by the District Attorney.

“Since the last court date, it was apparent there were some leaks of part of the discovery to the members of the public," the D.A. allegedly said, in a transcript posted by the media personality. "Mainly there was an individual identified as DJ Akademiks has made additional comments that he had access to the police report.”

Akademiks posted a photo of the hearing transcript with the above statement on Instagram and replied in the caption, “How many times they finna bring up my name in the case wit Meg n tory... i done told y’all I got the documents from Roc Nation n Meg squad."

Megan's lawyers complained about the alleged leaks and as Dillon wrote, “Tory’s lawyer, Shawn Holly, said Megan, ‘upped the ante’ by speaking to Gayle King on CBS. She says Tory rebuffed calls from CBS pr.”

Megan spoke to CBS This Morning's Gayle King about the incident back in April.

Tory will be back in court on July 28 and the trial is set for Sept. 14.
