R. Kelly’s ‘I Admit It’ Album Gets Removed from Streaming in Less Than a Day

Update: R. Kelly’s new album I Admit It was released – and removed from digital platforms – on Friday (December 9).

The disgraced R&B singer's album features 13 tracks featuring lyrics that address the years of allegations against him. His last three tracks -- a 3-part piece called "I Admit it (I Did It)," might be the most revealing. Kelly, 55, previously revealed the full 19-minute track on SoundCloud back in 2018, but this marks the first time it's made it to music streaming giants Apple Music and Spotify.

Per gossip website TMZ, Kelly talks about helping people that ended up turning against him in the 3-part series before admitting to a laundry list of things. This includes the line, "I done f---ed with a couple of fans" and admitting to sleeping with his girlfriend's friend. Going even further, he shockingly boasts, "How they gon' say I don't respect these women when all I've done is represent" and "You mad I've got some girlfriends."

Directly addressing the horrible child pornography charges and sexual abuse, Kelly says, "They're brainwashed, really? Kidnapped, really? Can't eat, really? Real talk, that s--- sound silly." While it's unclear exactly who he's specifically talking about, he also seems to blame the parents of one of his female victims for introducing them. Saying, "And if you really, really wanna know. Her father dropped her off at my show. And told this boy to put her on the stage. I admit that she was over age."

In 2018, Spotify stopped promoting his music when allegations about running a sex cult continued to gain traction, but he made it back to their platform with this new album four years later. As we previously reported, Kelly was convicted on child pornography charges for making videotapes of himself sexually abusing his then-14-year-old goddaughter decades ago. Kelly was found guilty of three of the first four counts of the indictment, which charged the singer with the sexual exploitation of “Jane” for the purpose of producing child pornography. Those charges were based on a single video of Kelly allegedly abusing "Jane" in the hot tub room of his former home on West George Street in the late 1990s.

After being found guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering and sentenced to 30 years in prison in September 2021, his album sales have skyrocketed. To be exact, the disgraced singer’s sales have soared an astronomical amount of 500% since his conviction.

A video of a woman who allegedly received a call from R. Kelly is going viral after she asks her father to have the disgraced artist sing to her.

The TikTok video read, "When your dad goes to the same prison as R Kelly" and the call shows that it was coming from Brooklyn Federal Prison, where R. Kelly is incarcerated. The woman asks Kelly to sing his 2010 hit "Love Letter" to her and while the disgraced singer was annoyed at first as he let out a sigh, he then begins singing the song.

It's not confirmed if it is actually R. Kelly on the phone call but it sure sounds like him.
